Berry Go Round

Here is what those berries on the truck were for. An awesome ride at some Cheviot festival.

I have been reading all I can of Oscar Wilde since I saw the movie Wilde a few months ago. I read A Picture of Dorian Grey a few years ago but I recently discovered how much I love the plays and the children's tales that he has written. Also spending tons of time watching movie adaptations of his work and so far The Importance of Being Earnest is my favorite (although that may be strongly influenced by my adoration of Colin Firth but I'm not entirely sure.)

the moon garden

most of the flowers and plants i got from white oak nursery but some, like this lambs ear, i dug out of katrina's yard.

this flower is angelonia. it should get to about 12" tall

this container has an ornamental grass called festuca 'elijah blue', alyssum flowers, and a silver dusty miller plant.

this is an annual called lemon licorice (helichrysum petiolare).

this is a jasmine plant that smells like perfume.

this is one of two white moon flower vines (no flowers yet)

here is the garden all put together. since i already had the pots, all the plants and dirt only came to about $60. now all it need is a little time to get big and busy and flowery and moonlight glowy.

Cold frame

This is the cold frame that Aaron and I built in our backyard. Its about 3' x 4' but it still only ended up being able to hold about half of my baby plants.
